Confused as to how anyone has ever given them a review below 5 stars. Coming from NYC to Park City you don’t expect to be blown away by food. However, firewood has consistently done that for years. The trout toast is incredible always. Yesterday, we had the oxtail onion soup and black cod as well. Everything is blow you away delicious.
Well, pretty darn good but a couple of disappointments.
Clara was an exceptional server. Super nice and caring and wanting us to have a great time.
First, 4 stars because there aren't any real options for kids or picky eaters. I'm not talking about anything crazy... How about just plain pasta or Mac n Cheese? One of the options was grilled cod and fries. I've never heard of cod as a kids menu item except in fish and chips. This grilled piece was undercooked and gamy rather than flaky and light.
The rest of the meal was pretty good. Pork shank was a huge portion and nicely flavored.
Beet salad was a miss. Cold beets just don't compare to warm ones and the raw fennel was weird.
Lamb was excellent.
Bavette steak was good but not great. We've had better in Park City.
We really wanted to love it here but with just a little attention it could easily be five stars.
From beginning to end, we had a fantastic dining experience. The food was perfectly prepared, unique, and delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive and all of the staff was friendly. We had the oxtail pappardelle, crab cake, tomato and rye, beets and brie, bavette, and lamb tenderloin. Nothing disappointed. I’m not sure how, but we also shared the olive oil cake and semifreddo. The cake was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten, hands down.
Maybe the best restaurant in park city! The flavors were out of this world. Highly recommend the smoked trout toast and the cucumber melon salad. Such a great ski/mountain atmosphere!
I went there for my bday dinner two days ago. I was very sad to see the service wasn’t as good and on point as a year ago in my previous visit.
I had the cucumber and melon salad which was delicious, had the lamb with polenta and my friend had the duck which was the best of the night.
The only reason it wasn’t very enjoyable was because I feel we had to wave the waitress or wait for her to get here attention, to ask for pepper for the salad, the first and second course was dropped at the same time, they did took the salad back while we finish the first course.
I asked for an Irish coffee as I couldn’t have any cold cocktail and they couldn’t make it right or present right.
Overall the food is still great, not receive the service that I went there for in such a special night.
Dinner here was creative and fantastic! The wood fire grill added a smoky complexity to everything. We loved it!! I'll definitely be back.
Wonderful place to dine! We had a reservation and took our time to savor everything that was served to us! I never has bison before, but the bison ribs were surprisingly delicious!
The waitress was great, had a great knowledge of the wines on the menu! The service, atmosphere, and food was spectacular! Would definitely recommend!
My favorite restaurant in Park City. The menu is not big but everything is super tasty and interesting. Not the same menu you see other places. They also have a nice vegetarian option. Cocktails are incredible. Staff is so thoughtful and they dont rush you which is nice. Most restaurants make it obvious they are trying to turn the tables but not here. They are super popular so reservations far in advance are needed. Congrats to the Chef and staff!
